UK’s Security Industry Authority Q?This Industry checks all documents b4 u are issued a licence 2 work.?
Back 2 my Q. Is it necessary 2 go through a 2nd checks by the company, that has been awarded the contract to be employed? I was thinking, checking the licence was enough 2 get a job. Is not as if I am worried,I only think documents check is necessary if doubt arises. Is either licence or no licence. Is SIA regulating or companies are regulating? Reason 4 my Q is,it makes no sense if companies stand by while their employees gets accuse by SIA of illegality. If both don’t no what they are doing, they should stop the hassle of people’s life. Companies should act more like agencies & not employers. Technorati Tags: authority, checks, documents, industry, issued, Licence, QThis, Security, Uk’s, work
Does anybody know the average hourly wage for a bouncer in the UK?
I am currently considering applying for my SIA (Security Industry Authority) license, problem being this is around £190 and is about to go up in price. I wondered if anyone knew the average hourly wage of a bouncer / door supervisor in the UK? I know it all depends on experience, and the company etc, this is why I have said average. In my case I have no experience as of yet, so any ideas? Technorati Tags: anybody, average, bouncer, hourly, Know, wage
Are SIA Licences another Tax rip off on the Poor in Britain.?
If you apply for a Security related job now, you have to have an SIA Licence…..Its not a very well paid job as it stands, yet this Government Authority charges people £245 for a Licence and then if your application is unsuccesfull they still rip you off by keeping the money….. Job interview help………….?
Hi, I am going to a job interview on Mon 3rd August. I currently live 300 miles away from the place I am looking to work so it will be a good 5 hour trip to get there. (I will be moving there in September) In the letter, they haven’t asked me to bring any documents with me, although as I live so far away, I am going to take the essential documents with me to save time (the position i am applying for requires vetting) I will be taking: Driving Licence (Both parts) Birth Certificate Interview letter My CV, they haven’t got one, I applied online via their form A list of Professional references Out of date passport. My SIA licence (Security guarding licence) Mar-May payslips My P60 I know that list is alot, but like I have said, I don’t want to forget anything…can you think of anything else? Also, it says that they want me to do 2 short IT tests in Excel and Word. Although I am fully competent in both (I think) to at least an A level, what do you think the test will entail. Thanks Thanks kaznaid , Sorry, the job I am applying for is Security Officer. I have worked in the security industry for the last 2 years so thats no problem. Technorati Tags: HELP, interview

Security Industry Licence Rip Off (UK)?
My son had his licence turned down and the SIA refused to send his application fee of £245 pounds back saying that was the cost of the application not the Licence? My son had innocently forgot about an assault caution… Anyone else been ripped off by this Government Agency who must turn countless applications down….for one thing or another. Keeping all that money in my view is fraudulent behaviour… Technorati Tags: industry, Licence, Security
